Teixits
Emilia is a family-run business. The company was founded by Emilia, my
grandmother, who visited the towns surrounding Torroella exchanging quality
house linen for a bag of rice, beans, etc.

Even
now, there are clients who comment they still have a
piece of linen my grandmother sold them. Through the
years and helped by her son Emili, my father, and with
the help of my mother, Maria, they opened their first
shop. This happened in the sixties, while the advent
of tourism was taking place. This factor, combined
with the friendliness we have always been known for,
helped us to extend the business and open the shop we
now have. When I was eight my favourite pastime was to
pretend I was buying and selling in the shop.
Now it is my
turn to carry on with the project initiated by my
grandmother and offer you our vast selection of
products. |
